| Picture notes | Mh's diary records three paintings of "the church". The first, in November 1931, she finished in two days. She started the second on 10 December, and worked on it until at last 7 January 1932. It appears to have been a substantial work and S Andrea is identified by name. It seems to be the likeliest candidate. The third is also pretty clearly of S Andrea, but apparently on a smaller scale. | ||||
